Tricia Dabrowski, a 2002 graduate of Loyola, is entering her sixth season working with the Blue Jay goalkeepers and assisting in game-planning, recruiting and scouting. She coached Lauren Riddick, class of 2006, to a career goals against average of 8.66, a Hopkins Division I record and a .457 save percentage. In 2005, she guided Riddick to a .473 save percentage and a 8.06 goals against average - the second best single season mark in Hopkins Division I history.
In 2003, Dabrowski's first season at Hopkins, goalkeeper Jen McDonald posted a 7.67 goals against average, which was the 11th-best mark in the country, and a .488 save percentage, good for third in the American Lacrosse Conference.
Dabrowski was a three-time Brine/IWLCA All-American keeper for nationally-ranked Loyola. As a senior, Dabrowski was named first-team All-America, the Colonial Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Year and the IWLCA Goalkeeper of the Year after finishing second in the country with a 6.80 goals against average and fourth with a .591 save percentage. She led Loyola to a 15-4 record, a berth in the NCAA Tournament and the 2002 CAA Championship.
Dabrowski was a first-team all-conference selection for three straight seasons and started every game during her career. In 2001, her junior year, she led Loyola to the NCAA semifinals and was named Most Valuable Player of the CAA Tournament. She posted double-digit saves in six games that season.
Dabrowski serves as a counselor and goalkeeper coach at numerous camps including Janine Tucker's Elite 300 Camp. She recently wrote the goalkeeping chapter of Tucker's book, "The Baffled Parents' Guide To Coaching Girl's Lacrosse." |
